The standard behind every lot
The Vellum Standard™
Five requirements, fixed and public. A lot cannot be listed in the Vellum catalog until it satisfies every one. “Meets the Vellum Standard” is what premium, not grey-market means here.
The five-point protocol
Independent assay
Every lot is analyzed by a third-party, US-based accredited laboratory. The lab is named on the certificate of analysis — we do not test our own product and ask you to trust the result.
Dual method
Purity is measured by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry (MS). Two independent methods, because a single number is not a result.
Full panel
We report endotoxin, heavy-metal, and fill-weight results alongside purity. A purity percentage on its own omits the contaminants that matter for research handling.
Lot-linked & signed
Each certificate of analysis is tamper-evident, signed, and bound to the exact lot number printed on the vial. The document and the vial cannot be separated.
Open verification
Anyone can confirm a lot at /verify — the target of the QR code on every vial. No account, no login, no gate. Verification that requires trust is not verification.
At a glance
The same five points, summarized. This badge and checklist appear on every product and lot page that meets the standard.
- Independent assay — Every lot is tested by a third-party, US-based accredited lab — named on the certificate.
- Dual method — Purity by HPLC and identity by mass spectrometry. Two methods, not one.
- Full panel — Endotoxin, heavy-metal, and fill-weight results are reported — not just a purity percentage.
- Lot-linked & signed — A tamper-evident, signed certificate of analysis bound to the exact lot number.
- Open verification — Anyone can confirm a lot at /verify — no account required.
